  • Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your display name and authentication credentials

  • Usage Data: App interactions such as meditations completed, breathing patterns used, and session durations

  • Analytics Data: Page views, device type, and approximate location (country/region) via website analytics
  • Cookies: Essential and analytics cookies on our website (see Section 6)

Information we do NOT collect:

  • We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or photo library
  • We do not collect precise location data
  • We do not collect health or biometric data

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Providing and improving the DailySelah app experience
  • Tracking your meditation progress and streaks
  • Sending waitlist updates and launch notifications
  • Responding to support requests
  • Understanding usage patterns to improve our content and features

5. App Permissions

DailySelah requests only the minimum permissions necessary:

  • Audio Playback: To play meditation narrations and ambient sounds. No microphone access is required or requested.
  • Network Access: To load content updates and sync your progress
  • Notifications (optional): To send meditation reminders if you enable them

All permissions are optional. The core meditation experience works without granting any special permissions.

6. Cookies and Tracking

On our website, we use:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for website functionality
  • Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics and Umami to understand site usage
  • Marketing Cookies: Facebook Pixel for advertising measurement

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent tool. The mobile app does not use cookies.

  • Regular security reviews and updates

Your data may be stored on servers located in the United States and Australia.

We retain your data as follows:

  • Account Data: Until you delete your account
  • Waitlist Data: Until you unsubscribe or request deletion
  • Usage Analytics: Aggregated and anonymised data may be retained indefinitely

When you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
